Mission with Business Community of Cabo Delgado (“Speed Dating”) 2nd Edition

The Mission led by CCS JV met again with the Business Community of Cabo Delgado, on the 22nd to the 26th of March, 2021, at Kaya Village, Pemba, Cabo Delgado.
The event was again a success and counted with the participation of several companies based in Cabo Delgado.

The objective of CCS JV was to highlight the focus on the opportunity to connect, between CCS JV and local business partners, to exchange ideas and experiences, and to further disseminate opportunities with CCS JV.
Read below the testimony of 2 participants of this event, with emphasis on some comments from the entrepreneurs:

The Mozambican company FC Trade & Service – Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda, based in Pemba, Cabo Delgado, which has been operating in solid, liquid, gaseous fuels, and derived products for more than 5 years, participated in this event.
With a current number of 6 local workers, the company FC Trade & Service, Lda provides its services indirectly to the Project, through IFS International Facilities Services – supplier of facilities and camp management services to CCS JV, in the supply of LPG, kitchen gas, refrigeration gas, lubricants for generators and refrigeration systems.

“The meeting with the CCS JV team was successful and very encouraging. This approach made us feel an integral part and gave us energy and hope to be able to place our services with a certain stability”, reported Francisco Conwana, representative of FC Trade & Service, Lda, participating in the event.”

For FC Trade & Service, Lda, “meetings of this nature are very productive, and it is important for entrepreneurs to know that the Project, considers local small and medium-sized companies.
The event became an opportunity to better understand the Project, clarify doubts and express interest in the CCS JV opportunities, even during the more detailed individual discussions.”

FC Trade & Services, Lda hopes to be able to participate periodically in more events of this nature with CCS JV.

In turn, NYN Serviços, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda, is also a Mozambican company with its head office in Pemba, Cabo Delgado.
The scope of their work is focused on the supply of goods and services, transport logistics, rental of light and heavy vehicles, rental of various equipment and welding services.

NYN Serviços currently has 12 employees and has been providing its services to other companies for more than 5 years.

“We were invited to participate in this meeting that took place here in Pemba, it went well and covered our expectations, several crucial points in the panorama of entrepreneurship in Cabo Delgado were discussed.
In terms of location for us as a company, being close to the Project has its advantage when it comes to logistics” said Nacir Buana, NYN Serviços representative.

Buana added that, in the future, NYN Serviços would like to gain more understanding about the CCS JV’s business plan, and the respective schedule; in this way, companies are better prepared for the great challenges of the market and for that, they need to be more informed and better organized.

The CCS JV team, equally satisfied with the result, highlights the commitment to continue this mission, reserved for potential suppliers of specific categories of goods and services in order to strengthen the local supply chain.
